Untitled Poem (PG-13)
Title: Untitled
Genre: Poem
Rating: (PG-13)
Author's Note: Another poem written ages and ages ago

I want to be a bird,
raven winged in the night,
with eyes to pierce your heart,
and claws to catch at your soul,
bring it to me.

I would consume you;
take you into myself.
My sharp beak would rend your heart,
tear it asunder,
and remake it within my own breast.

My feathers would catch the wind of your breath,
ride it to the stars.
My wings would match the beat of your pulse;
dance to its rhythm.

Arch and down-stroke,
up and down,
catching your rhythm.

I want to be a bird,
black winged in the night,
with eyes to mirror your soul,
and claws to catch at your heart,
capture it whole.

I would devour you;
take you into myself.
My hungry mouth would taste your heart,
roll its beat over my tongue like candy;
consume it.

My claws would tear at your soul,
rend it with tender mercy and remake it with my own.
My wings would catch your breath,
ride on its warmth.

Arch and down-stroke;
up and down;
match its rhythm;
hot and sweet.

I would consume you;
take you into me.
You would rise to the stars on the beat of my wings,
offer your heart to my hunger,
and your soul to my claws.

I want to be a bird,
raven winged in the night,
with eyes to haunt your heart,
and claws to grasp at your soul;
embrace it to me....
